NCSD Golf Club was established in 2025 under the Nassau County Sheriff’s Department Health & Wellness Unit to support the physical and mental well-being of our law enforcement family. Our mission is to provide a vital outlet for stress relief, well-being, and personal growth through the game of golf.

We are dedicated to fostering a culture of camaraderie and resilience, ensuring that our members have a supportive environment to unwind and build relationships. By extending membership to our friends and family, we reinforce the essential bonds that sustain us both on and off the course.

Our Core Values:

Inclusive Participation: We welcome golfers of all skill levels. Through handicapped play and a supportive atmosphere, we ensure the game remains enjoyable and accessible for everyone, from the novice to the seasoned veteran.

Mental Health & Wellness: Recognizing the unique pressures of our profession, we aim to reduce stigma and encourage open dialogue, utilizing the outdoor environment and social interaction of golf as a therapeutic tool for wellness and recovery.

Philanthropy & Community Impact: Beyond the fairways, we are committed to serving the broader Nassau County community. We leverage our passion for the sport to host and support charitable endeavors, raising funds and awareness for local initiatives to make a positive impact beyond our department's boundaries.

Spirit of Competition: We take pride in representing NCSD through friendly competition against other local law enforcement clubs, displaying the highest standards of etiquette, integrity, and sportsmanship.

Lifelong Bonds: While we are bound by our shared commitment to public safety, we are joined together by a passion for the game. Our goal is to cultivate long-lasting friendships and "grow positive and healthy interactions" within our department and the broader law enforcement community.

There are two formats to the club - the internal NCSD Club League and the competition style Metro Golf League that will be played against other local law enforcement clubs.

NCSD GOLF CLUB LEAGUE

This is our club. Events are put together by us and played by our members. Season will be played in a “FedEx Cup” style format. Scores are individual based. Member can play allotted courses at their leisure and submit their scorecard to receive season points, or outings can be played on scheduled dates with the club.

METRO GOLF LEAGUE

Competition league played against seven other local clubs (NYPD, FDNY, SCSO, NCPD, SCPD, MTAPD & NJSP) Events will be played and scored in a Ryder Cup style head-to-head match play format.
